I would highly recommend Ben to look after treasured dogs. He is reliable and enthusiastic and they will get plenty of exercise. He looked after my dog Pippin on and off for 6 years. Pippin adored him and I knew he was in safe hands with Ben. Ben is very good at long walks too so if you don’t have the time for the long walk, Ben is your guy!

Ben cared for our beloved Frenchie for many years, regularly taking him for whole weeks at a time while we were away. This included house sitting for us as well at times. Ben is amazing with dogs. Frodo loved hanging out with Ben and would be extremely happy to see him every time. Frodo was always returned to us safe, happy and well looked after.
Michael Phillips (Father of Frodo the Frenchie)
Ben is a wonderful dog minder. He has cared for Harry the Whippet for several years now and really focused on calming him and reassuring him and the results have been impressive. I would happily leave any four-legged friend in his company.

These are all the dogs I’ve looked after in the last 20 years.
Sithens in a Net
a poem
from a poem by Sir Thomas Wyatt
What we try to snag and hold fast
of laughter, wood smoke, but especially
the necessary ignoranceto go forward, to trust: I have netted
baubles from air bubbles, pictures of cozy
life in books, the way hot ciderby a warm stove completes winter
and sunset was sunset because you said
“Look at that!” to someone you loved. At a reading, John Ashbery was asked,
“But what was that about?” and he said,
“I guess I’m just sad about time,”and who can be sorry he was sad, when
such fabric lengths of poems came off
the loom, in down-home-and-I-guess baroque.Sometimes my dog turns, flops down,
and presses against me with a sigh that
fills the world with peace, makingpermanent what would otherwise fly away
on the lash of a clock’s tick. You have to think
about things in a different way, allowephemera to etch their brain-webs,
allow yourself to last as another beholds.
